Competitions
The LR Dance School enters and participates in regular local, regional and national competitions. Our pupils represent the school at various competitions, including those run and organised by the ISTD, ADFP and other open events. Our Dance School has continued to gain fantastic success year on year. Pupils have a sound knowledge of how to learn, understand and discipline their bodies in order to compete at their very best.
Within the school we have had outstanding achievements throughout the years which have led many individual pupils and Rock'n'Roll couples winning national ISTD titles.
Examinations
Within our dance school all pupils are given the opportunity to take their dance examinations with our governing body, the ISTD. Exam sessions are held twice a year in May and November. Through hard work, preparation, dedication and commitment, pupils have gained outstanding results including the prestigious 100%
Please take note that these examinations and competitions are not compulsory. However if a dancer shows great promise within a particular style or genre then of course parents / guardians will be consulted to discuss enhancing the child's progress.
